Ramen Bowl – Crackle Celadon

One of my favourite forms to make. Simple in shape but with good ergonomics. Reduction fired in a gas kiln, this bowl is glazed with crackle celadon glaze.

The green colour of the glaze can only be achieved when fired in a gas kiln in a reduction atmosphere, which requires precise control to achieve the results you see here.

Each piece is handmade, so slight variations in size, shape, and glaze may occur even within the same design. These characteristics are part of the individuality of hand-crafted pottery. You may notice natural glaze flows, small dots or bubbles, gentle warping, or subtle kiln marks at the foot. These are not defects but inherent traces of the firing process that make each piece unique. For these reasons, returns are not accepted.

This bowl is glazed with crackle glaze and will stain over time. The body has a porosity of ~0.4%, making it food safe.
