Wood Fired – Rutile Vase

3,200.00

This wood-fired vase was fired to cone 10 (approximately 1290 °C) over 8 hours. The black dots on the clay body are iron particles that rise to the surface during reduction firing, creating a rustic look. It is glazed with both celadon (green) and rutile (blue) glazes. The flowing lines are created when the glaze is poured out from the inside of the vase, creating a visual movement across the body.

Disclaimer
Each piece is handmade, so slight variations in size, shape, and glaze may occur even within the same design. These characteristics are part of the individuality of hand-crafted pottery. You may notice natural glaze flows, small dots or bubbles, gentle warping, or subtle kiln marks at the foot. These are not defects but inherent traces of the firing process that make each piece unique. For these reasons, returns are not accepted.
